I study the space between evidence and everyday life.

I'm Jacky (Chuye) Huang, a public health researcher and communicator from Guangdong, China. I'm in my final year of the IB at Guangdong Country Garden School.

My work sits between biology and the social sciences. I study how place, education, and trust shape health, and I build projects that turn that understanding into something people can use. I've mapped green trails across Guangzhou, taught first aid and puberty health in a rural primary school, led a 22-person iGEM team, and given a TEDx talk about ZIP codes.

Next, I plan to study public health, with a focus on health communication and health equity. I'm especially interested in how the stories we tell about health change who trusts them—and who acts.

Listen first.

The best projects begin with a conversation, not a solution.

Make it usable.

Evidence should end in something someone can hold, read, or do.

Keep it open.

Disagreement is not a failure of empathy. It is often where the work starts.
